Relating to the today in Scottish History segment: I've actually managed to work out at Longannet a few times in the past year or two with the demolition and it's been a very cool place to see. Very atmospheric.

The scale of it is like nothing else I've worked on up here, amazing to think how many men must have worked there in its hay day between the mine, the railyard and the power plant.

As glad as I am to see us move away from coal as a nation, it's sad to see these kind of old giants being demolished and taken for scrap when you think about how important they were within their communities. Wind, Solar and Gas can replace the generation capacity of coal but never the labour demand.
