| Comment | Well before pandemic I had the same problem.
The system is supposed to work that you place your bulk items for uplift in dedicated place (for tennement its often in the back) and report it to be uplifted and it is uplifted on next day, which works on most occassion. But sometimes it don't. So you have to report it. Then report again. Then call them. Then write to them on Twitter, so there is finally some reaction and they send someone, who pick only smaller items, leaving the big ones behind (It was weeks, so other neighbours added their bulk items to the pile already).
Finally you need to go to environmental services and report an environmental issue for them to pick it up.
Saying that, I now live in SLC area, and Glasgow was much better than they are when it comes to rubbish removal. |
