I understand focussing on gaelic as its own subject, but focussing on it to the detriment of the actual language people will likely be speaking in their day to day lives (especially living in a city like glasgow) rubs me the wrong way. it would be like an english school in france or something teaching kids english at the expense of french, the language which they will find the most useful if they continue to live in the society the school is based in.
