| Comment | It's both really. The Council really doesn't make it clear for residents month in-month out on what their services actually are/when they've changed, etc. There sure are a lot of lazy people out there that just love to fly-tip... no doubt about that, but there's also a lot of people out there that seem to be completely unaware or genuinely confused about changes to council services. The council, are awful at collecting normal rubbish (especially for our area anyway), and then not only that, but they take away weekly pick ups of bulk stuff... and seemingly don't notify people about it....which adds to this exact problem because people in the flats simply aren't aware of it. The garbage then just piles up. Ultimately, it's everyones responsibility to tidy up their own mess... but the council you sometimes have to rely on, and which you pay for, doesn't make that much easier for you. |
