Comment | One point I've noticed is that for the last six months or so, I've never seen anyone drop litter, wether in a public place or from a moving vehicle. I know I'm probably very lucky but I honestly think the majority of the litter around Glasgow is from overflowing bins/lack of bins/fly tipping/wind blowing overflowing bins.
I have seen people trying to add to a full bin in Queen's Park recently but at least it's showing some respect and thought. I mean yeah they should take home any rubbish etc but if your back yard is overflowing with rubbish and flytipping anyway, you don't really want to be adding to it.
Maybe easier access to a map of your nearest public litter bin? Like they do with the accessible toilet scheme? Get businesses to say they will accept any rubbish as long as it's smaller than a carrier bag? |
