| Comment | Yeah, we had this too. Brand new street and flats, everyone moved in at the same time.
We made sure to flatten all our cardboard, and it obviously didn't fit in the blue bins due to there being 2 bins for 8 flats, with everyone buying new furniture or getting rid of packaging.
We filled the bins, placed the excess to the side, all wrapped up to keep it organised. The blue bin truck arrived the first time it was due to be emptied and didn't touch it. Apparently too much stuff surround the bins so they refused!
Two weeks later I had to throw all the cardboard in the regular bins to get rid of it and they finally came in to empty the tiny amount in the blue bins. That's why no ones recycling! The blue bins are too small and politics means they aren't touching any excess cardboard. |
