What you said is really useful, and that’s good to get an informed opinion!
Most of what we’ve uncovered so far is in a fair condition. Some holes and cracks but actually much better than some of the other rooms in the house were.
At this point most of the time we’ve spent renovating our place has been doing plastering! Nothing like the job that would be done by a professional, but we’ve got a good finish with some hard work.
Sounds like it might be hard to get the plaster to stick to varnish though - is that what you’re saying?
We’re considering patching and skimming the cracks, and then repainting the pattern in more muted colours. Does that sound to you like it would be ruining it? |
