Comment | Yes but unfortunately scotland has a list of terms of eviction, breaking your agreement falls under the list of discretionary grounds [for eviction] - which means if you want to fight against against the decision a tribunal can make the final decision on eviction or not.
Having pet rats in a cage for example, a breach of contract. However only on paper, the rats are providing the tenant with companionship, entertainment etc, and are caged, and have caused no damage to the property - or say a dog, who is well trained, a cat who is, etc etc.
It is a fight but also outright banning pets is abhorrent. At least offer a small pet deposit. |
