If I'm opening a Scottish shop in a foreign land I'd be more inclined to use something that is internationally recognised as stereotypically Scottish so that the locals go "hey that's a Scottish shop" rather than use some Glaswegian slang that native Germans don't understand and would walk by and be like "Was ist dis?!" before moving onto the next store.
I find your comparison of local business owners using a play on words in the name of their business to folk in the US chanting "USA" in a hyper nationalistic way utterly bizarre if I'm honest with you. |
