Um from your own link about turning onto junctions which is what I was talking about: If you have started crossing and traffic wants to turn into the road, you have priority and they should give way.
If you pull in around, honk at, or gesture at pedestrians while turning into a junction knock it off immediately. They do in fact have the right of way.
