| Comment | I live alone in Glasgow and generally feel safe. I live on a fairly busy street and the ground floor so occasionally get folk coming up to my windows but it's generally harmless.
When there have been issues (a guy who lived across the road decided to start sending me mad love notes, sticking them through my letterbox because the main door was constantly left open) the police have been quick to respond and have a word.
Probably worth mentioning that the "love notes" got increasingly threatening... I wasn't just calling the police because he asked for my number...
I'd do as others have suggested - it's really not a problem living alone in Glasgow but just worth getting to know your potential close / street first. |
