I’d say having a decent security door makes a difference. I used to stay by myself in Cathcart and we had a stabbing in the close once - to be fair it had to do with the Airbnb in the block but it involved some people who kicked the front door in and attacked the Airbnb guests (I think it was gang related). It gave me so much anxiety and I pestered the factor about fixing the door properly but it was always quite loose. After I moved to a block with a properly secured door I felt much safer. |
