It's perfectly safe in the direction of the university, you're just on the edge of North Kelvinside which is all west endy and fine. You get some nutters out along the canal round the back of the stadium now and then, but as long as you're not hanging around the canal path alone at night you're fine. The football crowds are ok as it's Partick Thistle and never seen any problems with them. Nice area, lots of parks.
However, the block of tenements on Northpark St aren't great - there's a reason they're cheap. Mostly in pretty bad nick, some right sketchy folk in that block and often when I walk past there's some wanker blasting sectarian tunes out the top window. Wouldn't recommend. |
