This is awful. Libraries are so much more than just a place to borrow books. They host such important classes like free baby and toddler clubs. I barely wanted to leave the house as a new parent but having a bookbug session only a 10 minute walk from me actually got me out of the house and talking to other local parents. At school, I spent loads of time studying in the library since, let’s face it, our houses are too full of distractions. The computers were always fully booked with people who didn’t have access to one at home. Libraries are vital local community hubs and people shouldn’t have to leave their local area to find one! :(
