The first flat we rented had a balcony. We over looked the carpark so hardly picturesque. I used to stick my drying rack out to dry towels & such. Not very very often but enough for a neighbour to publish a newsletter that always gently reminded residents of the no clothes drying rule. His balcony was away round the other side and he'd only ever see ours from the carpark. Wasn't til recently all these years later I found a document from that time that stated the balcony wasn't to be used for drying clothes.
