Comment | I don't think it would change if they spent a few weeks here. friendly, chilled out atmosphere is genuinely one of the reasons I love living in Glasgow.
Other than that I'd say one big plus is the fact that it's big enough to have the positive aspects of a major city (every kind of shop you could think of, a wide range of different enviroments for different demographics, big enough that musicians come here on tours etc.)
And it's small enough that it doesn't have many of the issues that a city like London has, which from experience I can say grates on you after a while (i.e. takes ages to travel across the city, becomes a world center for buisness so everyone is in a rush and the streets feel overly busy, everything is extremely expensive etc.)
I also love the abundance of parks and greenery, takes the harshness of a city enviroment away a little.
There are positives and drawbacks to all cities tho, if you were coming to Glasgow expecting a perfect experience then you were bound to be dissapointed, it's flawed just like anywhere else. |
