| Comment | Getting into fights with neighbours is a good way of setting yourself up for disaster. My mother, the Wicked Witch, drove out 7 sets of neighbours. They all started off with this, "You won't win" attitude.
Getting the police involved didn't help as they knew what sort of person she was and wanted as little to do with her as possible. She had lodged countless complaints about them and made various allegations.
In the end, she made their lives hell and they couldn't take it any more. If you inspected every street she had ever lived on, you'd be able to spot her house without being told. It would be the one where the neighbours on both sides had put up tall fences in an attempt to keep her at bay. Didn't even slow her up. She would just talk shit to them through the fence.
Stull, at least it gave us kids a break from being on the receiving end of that non stop hell.
I'm not suggesting you cave in, but maybe pause and reflect about the long term consequences of starting a feud with someone whose basic character is not yet known by you.
