also note it may be tempting to reply to the texts like “as if you think I’d fall for this” “try harder” “f*ck off” etc etc (seen this a lot on Twitter) but a lot of the time these are sent out en masse from random number generators. Any kind of reply just tells the scammers your number is active and you’re at risk to be spammed/scammed more. |
