Comment | You'll pay management fees here too - Managing Agents are called "Factors" and rates vary. I've just moved into a new build (refurbishment from commercial) and we had to pay a £350 contribution on completion to contribute to the float for now, but we've been told it could be £80-£100 monthly when everybody is in occupation. That's a lot, because we have a lift and everything is new and 'luxury'. However as others will confirm, a lot of places have very low Factor fees, like £30. Some have none, those places are 'self-factored' i.e. occupants agree between themselves what to contribute for repairs etc. Personally I'd steer clear from anything like that as it sounds like a nightmare. |
