Comment | It just buggers your day/weekend up, eh.
I had one a couple of years ago where I was meant to be in London on Monday morning for something. My wife was away on a work thing. So I had the dog dropped off at the grandparents in Stirling, had an early dinner and generally sorted my day around a train at 6PM, then I got there and no, it's fucked.
One time for my birthday or something my wife'd arranged a london weekend. You have this image of a pint at 4, train then dinner down there and no, sorry, you might get in at 1am if you queue right now for a rammed standing ticket.
I'm really pro public transport generally but it shouldn't be the charitable option vs. driving, it should be *good*. |
