Get the Lower level train from Central to Hyndland. You can walk do a loop from there towards the city via Hyndland Rd (past the uni, through Kelvingrove etc) and then double back through Finnieston/Partick and jump on the train back to the centre from Partick, either to Queen St or to Central. I'd advise getting a train to Central, and then another down to Shawland or Pollokshaws East Then walk up through Shawlands to Queens Park station, and hop back on the train into town.

That would take about a day. If it's green areas you're after, I'd also think about Langside/Cathcart/Mount Florida in the south - all within walking distance of Queens Park, Linn Park, Pollok Park. Maryhill less so, save Ruchill Park.
