1. Unless it's a shared path, most cyclists in my experience _do_ stay off pavements. There are exceptions of course.
1. Cuts both ways. Peds shouldn't walk line-abreast on shared pathways and should also respect the markings on the ground.
1. Tow paths tend to be shared use (pedestrians, cyclists and even horses). Use them accordingly.
1. Yes; cyclists _should_ respect red lights, I do. That said, _some_ have cyclist and ped green lights for crossing (I make use of that where present). And _maybe_ some junctions should be marked to allow cyclists to cross on red _with extreme care_. Dunno about that last one TBH.
