Corrour Station is easy to get to from Queen Street and is only accessible by train or by foot, right in the middle of mountain country.

Plenty to explore nearby in a day (Loch Ossian is beautiful) or you could even use it as a starting off point for a trek across the highlands.

Walk west and you can get to Fort William, walk east and you can get to Dalwhinnie - might not be the cheapest option to come home from a different station but relatively inexpensive compared to a tank of petrol if you plan it properly.
