| Comment | Also to answer a previous post about things we wish people would do when recycling , GCC (and other councils) have never communicated to the residents about clean recyclables - washing out cans and bottles and only clean and dry cardboard. Remember that the whole thing relies on companies like viridor making a profit (this is business) and a few dirty plastic bottles or some oil soaked cardboard can mean the difference between top dollar for quality recyclables and it all just going to the burner (the end buyer will reject contaminated goods). |
