I think that's very wrong.
Many people believe that independence is likely to lead to a decrease in GDP and higher taxes but consider it worth it to gain independence - but obviously with hopes to change the economics in the future by getting rid of austerity. Furthermore, Scotland has traditionally been in favour of welfare instead of money in the bank.

It's about values, not money. Scotland, especially Glasgow, is very working class which also traditionally comes with a lot of solidarity. Unfortunately, that is something the Tories in England don't possess and that's why there is a clash.
