| Comment | I don't see how they would consider things like DIY to be inappropriate but lifting and dropping a barbell countless times is fair game. From looking at the council website it gives DIY and musical instruments as examples they'll investigate but it's not the be all and end all.
If it was me I'd get back onto the council and point that out. Maybe record the level of noise as well and offer to email it through, but I'd be back onto the phone with them to tell them I wasn't happy with their response and would like something done about it.
Outside of that I'm not really an expert on who else might be able to get something done about it. Maybe citizens advice?
