Then I refer you to my comment of pedestrians who always zig zag in front of cyclists to make some sort of point. If they were not to do this they'd pass by without any hassle.
I have a theory that some people want to create hassle with cyclists simply because they don't like cyclists. Just so that they can create a problem where none existed
