Properties are going for between 10 and 30% over asking price. Your solicitor should be the first person you ask about what is happening in the area you are buying.

This is the thing that I don't get. So people have been saving over the last year and now 5% mortgages are back but you still need that additional 20%. Who the hell has been saving that much.
