I lived in Eyemouth on the east coast until I was 17 then moved to Glasgow and have been here for nearly 20 years now and I never wanted to loose my accent but funnily enough I've never been slagged for it. It's pretty much all but vanished now but I went down to Eyemouth at the weekend for first time in a long long time and got slagged from some old friends as soon as I opened my mouth and said Hello. |
