Weegie accents got slagged for being shocking all the time when I was growing up tbh. I don’t think it’s merely a Glasgow thing, although I think Limmy has popularised the Glasgow accent as somehow ‘better’ despite it being quite a whiny, annoying accent. Not as bad as Aberdeen or Fife though I suppose.
