Yes, totally. And I think a lot of working class Glaswegians have a massive chip on their shoulder because they think that people who "speak posh" are judging them or looking down on them, so they immediately go on the defensive. However, as the majority of people aren't thinking that at all then I can only conclude that they themselves think they are scum and that aspirations of being middle class are traitorous and probably a slippery slope to being a Tory. |
