My sister and brother-in-law have been looking for the last 4 months in South Lanarkshire (mostly East Kilbride, Hamilton and Jackton) and have been outbid on every house they have went for.

They’re looking at 3/4 bed detached and mostly newer build type houses. Price range from £220,000-£310,000 ish. The bids at closing date have been anywhere from £15,000-£35,000 over the home report. Normally (as in before coronavirus) it isn’t like that up here and you can get away with offering folk the hone report or a little over it. Coronavirus has really made the housing market go insane.

Good luck with your search.
