| Comment | I can't help with the school question, but figuring out where you want to live will be a big factor in enrolling in a school!
Presuming you're looking to rent if you're only here for your degree? If you want to live outside the city in a house with a garden, it'll depend a bit on your budget and will likely get you into a few different council areas which will have different processes for school enrolment.
My first thought would be somewhere like East Kilbride - it's a decent distance from the city but the train to the city centre is only \~35 mins and there's plenty of family accommodation.
