| Comment | Yes, they've given us the 6 months. Without going into all of the boring details, we were basically pissed off that we'd been paying rent to live in this damaged flat for over 2 years without the repairs being completed, only to then get kicked out so that either 1) the landlord could then do the repairs and profit from the housing boom, or 2) re-rent the property because we'd become too troublesome tenants. And in the process of fighting this we discovered a tonne of other dodgy stuff the letting agents had done (lying to us, not registering the deposit for months, charging a holding fee etc.) and were just thought that the system relies on people going quietly. So we decided not to! Hopefully can raise awareness for others in the same (or worse) situation and maybe link up some people with help that is accessible. |
