Hi, I just wanted to clarify a few points.

Whilst I don't disagree entirely what you are saying, some of it is categorically incorrect. I work in a statutory service (not the Home Office I should add!) and I work extensively with asylum seekers. Also simple fact checking can disprove some of your claims if anyone wants to look it up themselves.

The Home Office do not refuse the majority of asylum cases - it is currently running about 50% percent of cases are rejected. A portion of these will then be appealed and granted. This number has changed over the years as more asylum claims are being granted and refused.

The majority of asylum seekers who have a negative decision from the home office remain in their accommodation whilst going through the appeals process. There can be multiple appeals which can take years (sometimes over a decade!). Very few are detained and generally only under very specific circumstances.

I agree that the long-winded and never ending circles of appeals and decisions is terrible for asylum seekers mental health or basic human dignity. However, misinformation devalues and weakens the argument.
