Comment | I have colleagues who have been in the UK for many years - their kids were born here, they work hard and are just...nice, basically. They do medical research and the UK's better off for them being here.
The stories they've got of going through the immigration process are shameful. The money you need to show as having been in your account - the average and minimum at any given time - is just...rhetorically high. They need to know more about the UK than I do by a country mile, and they spent time, money and effort on things like bank statements which the home office then go 'nah not happy with that stamp RBS gave, sort it and come back in 3 months, and you can't talk to anyone else but *me*'.
