| Comment | because the whole system is designed to make it difficult for refugees and immigrants to be 'legal citizens'. because all the detainment does is keep families apart while they go through the legal processes of becoming a 'legal citizen'. it is absurd and absolutely NO ONE deserves subhuman treatment, especially over weird gatekeeping laws that are used as excuses to throw people out of the country.
