| Comment | Having an issue with my laptop, but these articles say that there are cases of people who are fully vaccinated contracting this variant. But again, more research needs to be done. This is a new variant and perhaps poses more or different kinds of dangers than previous ones. I didn't mean to suggest that vaccines may prove useless against this variant (apologies if it seemed that way) but there's definitely the possibility that it'll cause problems in spite of vaccinations.

I'm afraid I don't have scientific sources just now, sorry. Are they even available at this stage? It'll most likely take more time. You raise good points and may be right. Some (newspaper) reports stated that it was mostly fully vaccinated medical staff who were contracting this variant. Sorry I couldn't provide anything more substantial. |
