We all have different tolerances to this. I'm glad you can withstand yet more restrictions, but some people have reach their limits. We aren't talking an all night rave with complosery coughing fit. If someone has obeyed the rules until now, and the government are offering no compensation to people for cancelled travel etc because of changing their minds 3 days before, then I have every sympathy with people saying "fuck this" and doing what they want. In the guy's post he says he's barely been out, looking after his vulnerable father. I can't say, if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't be taking myself off to the boarders, particularly if I got a negative LFT, and with over a week to self-isolate before he went anyway. Have some compassion for people and don't just call anyone who doesn't six more weeks of a winter a cunt. |
