The first couple of weekends were pretty shite (felt like I was missing out, awkward explaining it to folk etc) but since the start of the year I've honestly felt better than I've ever felt in my adult life. Saving a ton of cash, realising how pointless a lot of social drinking is and massively improved mental health have all been motivation to carry on!

I didn't actually realise the extent to which drugs/alcohol were wrecking havoc with my emotions until I experienced a good chunk of time off of them.

So yeah, be prepared for a rough couple of weeks but it's 100% worth it in the long run. |
