| Comment | I realise you said you wouldn’t want to use NHS resources, but you could consider self referring to Lifelink. They would carry out an assessment with you and could help decide which type of professional you wish to see and whether it would be NHS or private.

If you feel up to it, you could also ask your GP (or health visitor if you have a pre-school child) for other services in your area.
P.S. As someone who works in the NHS, please don’t feel that you shouldn’t use ‘NHS resources’. You are entitled to the service and are as deserving of support as anyone else (although private options will likely have shorter waiting times). |
