| Comment | Let me put it another way - the current estimate is that we will reach the critical mass of vaccinations around August this year, ie about another 3 months, after which any further restrictions will be unnecessary, based on the fact that vaccines appear to work well across all variants.
Are you suggesting that rather than gradually ease restrictions over those 3 months in response to caseloads, we just dump everything now and live through a tidal wave of cases for that period? Or do you think we should never have locked down in the first place?
And what is hyper capitalist about preventing people from working? Hyper capitalist would be letting the proletariat die while making profits for the capital owners safe in isolated homes - which is essentially what we would be doing if we re-opened everything right now. |
