The prices did go up recently (around Christmas time) but only in terms of the increase you first saw there. So the £1.60 ticket went up to £1.65 and the £2.30 to £2.40:

You suddenly getting charged £2.40 instead of £1.65 is a different thing though and goes back to what this entire thread is about: no one anywhere knows when and why you should expect to get charged the two difference levels of fare. |
