I'm well aware of the legacy of COPR contamination in Glasgow, but Polmadie Burn is an extreme outlier, and it is a relatively small discharge volume compared to volume of the Clyde, particularly the tidal section. The health of the Clyde can be seen in the fact that the Clyde and its tributaries now have healthy runs of salmon. The Clyde is now a typical urban river, whereas in the past it was effectively an open sewer full of industrial discharge. The effects of this are very much still felt.

All I was trying to say is that Rangers bams shouldn't be throwing shite into the river, I'm not trying to get into an argument over whether or not it is polluted. The presence of litter at other bottlenecks (the museum, that grotty boat nightclub thing) is bad, but it's not justification for not condemning littering.
