| Comment | I kind of think it looks like my dream place tbh, which is why I'm quite excited - I lived in Edinburgh for a long time (uni and work, about 4 - 5 years) and ended up getting a bit bored of it and also tired at how expensive it was. Bristol looks like a kind of combo of the 'prettiness' of Edinburgh in some bits whilst having the edginess and music/food/culture of Glasgow which is exactly what I'm looking for to be honest!
I am aware Bristol isn't cheap which will be the biggest downside, but salaries down there for law are a lot better than Scotland so it should hopefully balance out! I do think Glasgow is an amazing city and I will come back regularly due to my friends and family being here, but I just didn't feel excited at the thought of building my life here permanently and I can't put my finger on why? Just felt like I never identified much with Glasgow and it seems people move from all over to Brizzy which makes it a bit more eclectic. |
