| Comment | We had a third floor tenement just off byres road and was told the same BUT was also told if you did it and they wanted to make you remove them they would have to make all on the street which at that point was quite a few including the actual conservation office building. We took the risk and got advanced windows to put in uPVC ones in a dark colour with a fake sash profile, cost a bit more with those options but not obviously modern replacements from the ground. They did it in a day from inside the flat, that was over ten years ago now and no one has ever questioned or mentioned them. |
