I will be downvoted and honestly don't care. That's how it feels for me after living in Glasgow for 4 years approximately as an immigrant (I am from Spain). I do have a nice job, and I have some friends (who are mostly immigrants as well, because for me it's been really hard to connect with the locals despite trying over and over).

I have had really nice experiences living here that I will never forget and the city is fantastic. But I have to say that it can also be really depressing if you come from abroad. As others said, you might need to see a therapist just in case there's something more besides your Ulises Syndrome, but it might also be that you have experienced what it's like to live abroad, and you want to live that way, or you have changed more than what the city has changed, and you feel out of place. It's normal, it happens to me, and many other immigrants I have talked to say they feel the same way every time we go back to our home countries.
