| Comment | That's really interesting - what type of 'English' do you have in mind?
I taught English to professional users(pilots, lawyers, architects etc) in Italy and the school deliberately brought in Scottish, Irish, South African & Australian coaches to help students familiarise themselves with different accents although we taught RP/business English.
It was widely accepted that native English speakers were the most difficult to understand, simply because of regional accents. |
