| Comment | Just pester the nursery. We started getting the 16 hours when ours turned 3. I’m not totally sure, but I think it started the first term after his 3rd birthday.
For the first few terms, they gave us a cheque, but for the last 3 terms the nursery get paid by the council and they have reduced our fees. We don’t see any money.
We just got a letter from the council, as we have each term before, which we have to sign and hand back in to the nursery to get the funds released to them.
Bear in mind, if your nursery is Glasgow City Council but you live in another local authority, it will be different.
Ask to speak to the nursery manager - the nursery staff won’t have much to do with it. |
