Your maths is correct, but those doses can just sit in a fridge at the centre and be used within a week (I think it's a month now actually), so there isn't any wastage!
I know it's really frustrating, but these eventualities have been thought of! The system does have problems like not being able to book appointments, but is quite efficient at getting doses into arms
